Easter Rising Centenary Commemoration

1916_EasterRising_TimFinns_27MAR16On Sunday, March 27, 2016, at 3pm, Tír na mBláth and Tim Finnegans Irish Pub present the Centenary Commemoration of the Irish Easter Rising of 1916, when members of the Irish Republican Brotherhood (forerunners of the Irish Republican Army) decided they would wait no longer for long-delayed British legislation to grant Ireland freedom. A force of about 1,600 rebels mounted what would come to be known as the Easter Rising. Come enjoy a special presentation, a tasty Easter meal, and beginning at 5pm, Irish rebel songs and traditional tunes performed by the Roaring Kelly Band.
